DIY-Montage eines Miniaturmodells eines kleinen Hauses

This one is a little tricky to get together. The first level is made of very light weight plastic - that part doesn't look great. Main floor has a lot of very cute detailed pieces - but they could be frustrating to assemble. I used permanent markers to color items, rather than painting them. I also added some of my own details from jewelry charms and beads.

I've made around 20+ miniature model buildings and I'm convinced anything by this brand requires more patience than other brands because of the frustrating designs. My first miniature from this brand was their bookstore design and from my experience some structures are very feeble and lack sturdiness given the materials provided. I wanted to try this design despite that because I really liked this witchy aesthetic.This kits already had some setbacks because you have to paint the pieces accordingly. However, the pink accents were not my style because i wanted it to be more witchy so I changed it to purple and black with acrylic paints. That part was nice because it gave me creative control. The rest of the building process was pretty standard as far as model kits go until you hit the smaller items.I can fold books for days on end and have no problem, but my issues came when I had to make the strange contraption that looked like something from Howl's Moving Castle. It was a cute and eccentric idea to fit the house theme but it was literally just beads stacked on top of each other about 1" high with NO SUPPORT in the structure. On top of that, you had to add 2 appendages on opposite sides that made it impossible to balance out. I made this strange contraption for 2 hours and got away with using spare thick wire to offer it some support so it could stand on it's own (very shakily because the legs were so thin and too weak to hold the weight of 7 beads).THEN I found out that I had to make 2 more equally weak and shaky objects and after attempting one of them and having spent nearly a whole 2 days on this, today I finally gave up and scrapped it. Out of all 20+ miniatures I've made, this was the first that I called it quits on. I kept the small items I made form it though - it will look nice for my next miniature!I generally have the patience of Buddha when it comes to miniatures. But this one was not designed well and not fun to make at all.

These came “prepainted” if that’s what you can even call it. The wood pieces were stuck together with the paint. It was warped and unusable. See pictures from unboxing.I returned it… The new one was all different scales. The desk was 1:24 and the chair was 1:32. Some furniture was 1:48. I quit making it and there is no way too return it again.

I love doing miniatures! Rolife is probably my favorite brand. The quality is always pretty good and the steps are clear.While other types of miniatures require a lot of steps to assemble different components, this one required a lot of steps and time to paint! I thought that was a bit different and unique. I thought this was gonna go by really quickly bc it didn’t seem too involved, but the painting kind of slowed me down so it took as long as other miniatures I’ve done in the past.The build itself is fun and straight forward. It’s cute coming together w the acrylic cylinder so that the different floors don’t completely fall apart on me lol!This probably wasn’t my fave build, BUT I bought it on sale so it was worth it.I wish it came w batteries tho!Also, the pictures and print in some of The instructions were so small I couldn’t see it. I’ve never had that issue before on prior miniatures. Lol!

i have made several miniatures and this one is by far the worse. The instructions are not very organized. There is no inventory sheet. The quality of paper inside is no better than 1 ply toilet paper.
